Conscious mobility, convenient shopping at STOP SHOP retail parks

Can sustainability and convenience go hand in hand? Urban mobility has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent years; the number of cars in Hungary's major cities is growing rapidly, and with the spread of electric vehicles, developing charging infrastructure is becoming an increasingly important issue. What answers can we give to growing mobility needs while keeping sustainability in mind?
Among others, this is the challenge that STOP SHOP and Parkl's joint initiative sets out to address, aiming to make the urban mobility of the future accessible to everyone — not just technologically, but in everyday practice.
STOP SHOP is one of Central and Eastern Europe's leading retail park networks and part of the CPI Property Group portfolio. It primarily offers convenient, great-value shopping in cities of 30,000–150,000 inhabitants. Its locations are easy to reach and parking is quick and simple, providing a comfortable solution for shoppers who value not just competitive prices, but also convenience, flexibility and sustainability.

"Our goal is for our customers to enjoy their time at STOP SHOP retail parks without a worry, which is why we also provide sustainable complementary services such as EV charging. Parkl was the ideal choice to upgrade our existing system, as our customers can now manage charging within a single integrated platform, while we know operations are in safe hands," said Balázs Sipos, Senior Retail Asset Manager for STOP SHOP in Hungary.
As part of the project, the infrastructure of 116 EV charging points was renewed at 14 STOP SHOP retail parks nationwide, all accessible through Parkl's integrated digital platform. The modern 22 kW AC chargers operate as a nationwide yet unified system, offering shoppers convenient charging at a favourable price of HUF 170/kWh.

With Parkl's integrated digital mobility platform, charging electric vehicles works seamlessly in any situation — at home, at work or at a retail park. Strategic partnerships like the collaboration with CPI Hungary mark important milestones for Parkl and for Hungarian e-mobility: our goal is to deliver smart, sustainable digital solutions where they are truly needed.
