Ten years ago, on a trip to Verona, during an opera performance, I had an idea: what if the parking barriers set up in front of the Colosseum could be controlled remotely? During the performance the parking spaces stood empty, and I started thinking that they could be rented out by the hour while nobody was using them. Back at our accommodation, I wrote the idea down in a notebook. That's where Parkl's story began.

Over the past ten years it has become clear to us that on-street parking, charging and corporate mobility are all about convenience and efficiency. That's how we went from parking solutions to building charging networks, and all the way to operating the mobility ecosystem of Hungary's largest companies, used by more than 550,000 people in Central and Eastern Europe.

Below, we show you where we started and how far we've come. And judging by the past ten years, the next ones will hold plenty of excitement, too. Of course, this decade isn't the story of one person. We wouldn't have got this far without our team, our partners and our users.
